FreakWax Refund Policy

Effective Date: January 21, 2026

 

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through the FreakWax platform. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.


1. Digital Goods - No Refunds


All Collectibles sold on FreakWax are digital goods that are delivered immediately upon purchase. Because you receive instant access to interactive digital content, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for completed purchases under normal circumstances.


By completing a purchase on FreakWax, you acknowledge that you are purchasing a digital item that is delivered immediately, you have the right to access and interact with the Collectible as soon as payment is confirmed, and you waive any right of withdrawal that may otherwise apply to digital content under applicable consumer protection laws.


2. Exceptions


We may, at our sole discretion, provide a refund or credit in the following exceptional circumstances:​

 

  1. Technical Failure: If a verified technical error on our platform prevented you from receiving or accessing your purchased Collectible, and we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe.
     

  2. Duplicate Purchases: If you were accidentally charged multiple times for the same Collectible due to a platform error. In this case, we will refund the duplicate charges.
     

  3. Unauthorized Transactions: If you can demonstrate that a purchase was made without your authorization due to account compromise. You must report unauthorized transactions within 48 hours of the purchase.
     

  4. Content Removal: If an Artist removes their content from the platform and you lose access to a Collectible you purchased within the previous 30 days, you may be eligible for a refund or platform credit.


3. Non-Refundable Items

 

The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:

 

  1. Collectibles that have been gifted to another user, as ownership has been transferred.
     

  2. Purchases where you have interacted with the Collectible (played, scratched, or explored the content).
     

  3. Purchases made more than 30 days ago.
     

  4. Artist subscription fees, unless the subscription was purchased in error and you have not used any subscription features.
     

  5. Purchases where you simply changed your mind or no longer want the Collectible.


4. How to Request a Refund

 

If you believe you qualify for a refund under the exceptions listed above, please contact us at heyhey@freakwax.com within 30 days of your purchase. Include the following information in your request:

  1. Your account email address.
     

  2. The order or transaction ID (found in your purchase confirmation email).
     

  3. The name of the Collectible purchased.
     

  4. A detailed explanation of why you are requesting a refund.
     

  5. Any relevant screenshots or documentation supporting your request.


5. Refund Processing


We will review your refund request and respond within 5 business days. If your refund is approved, we will process it using the original payment method. Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.


If we are unable to process a refund to your original payment method, we may offer platform credit as an alternative.


6. Chargebacks


If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company instead of contacting us first, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending investigation. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination and collection action for any amounts owed.

 

We encourage you to contact us directly before disputing a charge. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.

 

7. Artist Payouts and Refunds


If a refund is issued for a Collectible, the corresponding Artist payout will be adjusted accordingly. Artists will be notified of any refunds affecting their earnings.

 

8. Changes to This Policy


We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Purchases are governed by the Refund Policy in effect at the time of purchase.
